Parent/Teacher Conferences Set

Conferences will be this Thursday, October 17, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, October 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Teachers will not have printed report cards at conferences. Parents log-in to the IC Parent Portal to view and print report cards.  If you do not have a log-in contact Joni for elementary at extension 4141 and Gretchen for secondary at extension 4143. Instructions on how to access grades/report cards are located on the website or click the link.


SAFEWAY FLU Clinic at Parent/Teacher Conferences!

Flu Shots will be available for students, families, and staff at Parent/Teacher Conferences this Thursday, October 17.  

When: Thursday, October 17 @ 3 PM - 7PM

Where: Conference Room 142 B

T-dap Available Also!

Flu shot is FREE through most insurances!! (Medicaid excluded.) Please provide your insurance card. For Questions: Connie Oliver 303-582-3444 x4131

Student Fees

Parents log-in to the IC Parent Portal to view any fees that may be due, such as athletics fees or chromebook repairs.

GCSD Nights at Denver Nuggets Announced

The Gilpin County Education Foundation and the Denver Nuggets are hosting a Gilpin Community night on either Friday 10/25/2019 or Tuesday 10/29/2019.  A portion of each ticket will be donated back to the school. Snowdodgers Parent Meeting & Registration

Snowdodgers registration is coming soon!  Please join us for an informational meeting on Tuesday, November 5th at 5pm.  Enter through the Atrium and follow the signs to Mrs. Newberg’s room.

October 16 Late Start Cancelled

Due to the state-wide testing of the PSAT/NMSQT for grades 9-11 on October 16, the October 16 late start is cancelled.  Classes begin at the regular time of 8 a.m. on October 16. This late start has been rescheduled for December 4, 2019. Both the 2019/2020 District Calendar and the Late Start Schedule have been amended to reflect the changes.

Late Start

The next late start will be Wednesday, October 30th.  All students report to school at 9 a.m. Busses will have the same pick-up time, but an hour later.  School will dismiss as regularly scheduled at 4 p.m. http://gilpin.k12.co.us/our_district/calendars/late_start_schedule

School-Wide Fundraiser

Boulder Ballet Nutcracker Tickets School Fundraiser: Come see our very own Lexi Zeilbeck perform in Boulder Ballet's Nutcracker on Thanksgiving weekend. Ticket sales start 10/1 and will end on 11/6. The best part is 20% of all tickets purchased at the school will go back to Gilpin County School! Order forms will be available starting tomorrow at the front desk with Catrina Amaya. Junior Class Fundraiser

It's Butter Braids time! The junior class is selling Butter Braids to earn money for prom. Treat yourself, your friends, family, and neighbors to the one and only Butter Braid pastries. Each pastry is filled with your choice of six delicious flavors. Caramel rolls, cookie dough, and Coda Coffee are also available. Order online today!  Your Butter Braids will be delivered on November 14th. 

PTA Trick or Treat Street/Halloween Carnival Scheduled

Mark your calendar! Saturday, October 26 is the date for Trick or Treat Street and The Halloween Carnival. This is a fun event for our whole mountain community at Gilpin County Elementary School. There will be a Trick or Treat Street from 5:00-7:30pm and a Halloween Carnival with games, activities, prizes, and haunted house from 5:00-8:30pm. Enjoy Concessions, Silent Auction, a Pumpkin Carving Contest and a Costume Contest. Join us for some spook-tacular fun!! Click this link for more information.

The Free and Reduced Application for the 2019/2020 school year is now available.  For instructions and more information click the link for the Food Services Page.  You can download the application from the link or paper copies are available from Catrina.
