The Remote Distance Learning Program offered during the 2020/2021 school year ended on May 26, 2021. The Remote Distance Learning Program will not be available to students for the 21/22 school year, nor will a hybrid learning program be offered.

However, due to student and/or parent health concerns due to COVID-19, students may enroll in the Gilpin Online Learning Program.

  • Students who do not meet the aforementioned requirements will be disenrolled from the Gilpin Online Learning Program

  • Students and parents will sign a Gilpin Online Learning Program Teaching and Learning Contract to acknowledge the aforementioned requirements of enrollment and continued enrollment during the 2021/2022 school year.

Since CDLS/Edmentum courses provide supplemental support to local districts, students always remain enrolled in GCSD. The Gilpin Online Learning Program provides synchronous Gilpin teacher classroom enrollment twice daily and asynchronous online pre-made courses for students to complete school work.

CDLS teachers provide timely responses to students. Students who are not making adequate progress will receive CDLS teacher interventions such as phone calls and emails to the home. Direct instruction by CDLS teachers can be scheduled to meet the needs of students for additional help. GCSD provides Chromebooks and will pay all online course tuition fees.

Enrollment in the Gilpin Online Learning Program is due to COVID-19 health concerns. I have read the aforementioned requirements to enroll in the Gilpin Online Learning Program and agree to abide by all the requirements to stay enrolled in the program.
