How do I apply for the Meal Benefits Program for my children?
We encourage everyone to complete a meal benefit application. To receive meal benefits you must and submit a Meal Benefits Program application either online through the Titan Family Portal (very user friendly and easy!) or a paper application located at the bottom of this page. We cannot approve an application that is not complete, so please be sure to fill out ALL the required information.

Free Meals for all Students during the 2021-2022 School Year
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved our 21-22 school year application to provide free meals to all students throughout the school year. This includes breakfast and lunch. Please email Jane Yearkman at jyerkman@gilpin.k12.co.us if you are interested in your student receiving meals at school. Please be sure to include if they would like breakfast, lunch or both and include which classroom they are in (elementary) or grade level (MS/HS). MS/HS students you may sign-up for your own lunches by emailing Jane Yerkman at jyerkman@gilpin.k12.co.us. Please contact the Food Service Department at 720.562.3113 with any questions.
Meal Costs
Costs for meals during the 2021 - 2022 school year are as follow
Elementary/MS-HS Breakfast - $1.60 Elementary Lunch - $2.90 MS-HS Lunch - $3.10 Carton of milk - $0.50
It is easy to set-up your student's accounts on the Titan Family Portal. Parents can pay for their student(s) meals, transfer funds between siblings, and monitor what your child is purchasing.
Account balances carry forward each school year. Money left on a student's account the last day of the school year will be available for his/her use from the first day of the next school year.
Student Wellness
The district maintains a district-wide School Wellness Policy Committee, composed of administrators, parents, community members, nutrition/health professionals, students, and teachers. The purpose of the committee is to evaluate progress toward policy goals, recommend revisions to the policy, and serve as a resource to the district. View the Wellness Policy here

Summer Food Program
