Gilpin School Community,

At 12:01 p.m. today a Lockdown was mistakenly initiated from a school telephone. The user hit redial and triggered the Lockdown. The phone that was used to initiate the Lockdown Drill on September 24, 2025 was "redialed" with the intent of making a phone call and redialed the Lockdown notification.

Students and staff responded quickly and appropriately. Law enforcement and other first responders came to the school as is protocol and were on standby until the source and cause of the Lockdown could be determined.

The "All Clear" and the return to "business as usual" was communicated to students and staff at 12:19 p.m.
